Robert Critchfield, convicted of fondling girls, getting new trial
A Coeur d'Alene man convicted in 2010 of fondling young girls at his home will be getting a new trial.
Attorneys for Robert Critchfield, 37, argued the judge in his original trial would not allow a psychologist take the stand.
The judge later admitted his error and ordered a new trial, prompting an appeal by the Kootenai County prosecutor.
The Idaho Court of Appeals granted him a new trial.
Critchfield, who was accused of fondling girls between the ages of 8 and 14 in 2008, has always maintained his innocence.
