Police investigation two overnight robberies | Crime
Coeur d’Alene Police are hoping to identify a man possibility connected to two robberies. Officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Tesora gas station, located at 2301 E. Sherman Ave. on Monday just before midnight.
The female clerk told police the subject stopped by earlier around 11:36 p.m. to inquire about the price of cigarettes. He said he would return - and he did to rob the store. The man waited for other customers to leave and then around 11:57 p.m., he lifted his shirt to reveal a handgun tucked into his waistband.
He was described as a white male, about 5’6” tall, 150 pounds with brown hair and stubbly sideburns. He was wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie zipper with a white ball cap on underneath and dusty black work boots.
The subject reportedly demanded money from the till and the clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of cash. The male left the store on foot.
The subject may have struck again a bit later. Officers responded to another robbery at the Walgreens at 335 W. Appleway around 1:15 a.m. on Tuesday.
The female clerk gave police a subject description that matched the one above, but she added the following details: slender build with two piercings on his upper lip.
The man once again lifted his shirt and displayed a gun in his waistband to demand money. The clerk was unable to provide any cash, so the subject grabbed some cigarettes from the counter and fled on foot.
Surveillance video revealed a dark colored vehicle waiting outside. The vehicle drove east through the parking lot and left the area.
