Coeur d’Alene Police looking for pair linked to stealing checks out of mailboxes | Crime

Coeur d’Alene Police are looking for two people linked to stealing checks out of mailboxes, forgery and cashing the checks.

Police are looking for 28-year-old Michael Graham Wilkins and his believed accomplice 17-year-old Lacey Lynn Fugate. Fugate is believed to be a runaway from Duglas County, Oregon.

The pair are suspected of stealing two checks from an area business mail box on or around July 28th 2012.

According to Coeur d'Alene Police, Wilkins is believed to be responsible for adding his name to the checks and cashing them at a local Safeway. They said an employee of the Safeway store said that Wilkinson comes in to the store several times a day to cash checks. Detectives are now in the process of obtaining an arrest warrant for Wilkins.
