Kootenai Tech Center Clears Another Hurdle | Business
The Kootenai Technical Education Campus is another step closer to reality. The Idaho Senate approved legislation to fast-track plans for the professional-technical high school, and it now awaits the governor's signature.
Local voters approved a 9.5 million dollar levy last year to fund the 50,000 square foot school, which would be built near Highway 41 and Lancaster Road in 2013.
Students would still take core classes at their regular high school, then shift to KTEC for technical skill training. You can find more details on the KTEC website, or check out the video above to learn about a similar program in Canyon County, ID.
