The Idaho Department of Labor is hosting a hiring event for Veterans and Active Military. There will be 42 employers on hand looking to fill open positions. 

As of now, there are only eight veterans registered for the event, says Nicole Hauffman of the Idaho Department of Labor. Hauffman hopes that more will sign up for this great opportunity. The hiring event is open to Veterans, Active Military, Guard/Reservists and their families.

The job fair gives members of our military an active opportunity to meet with many different employers that are looking to hire all under one roof. Participants are asked to come prepared with their resumes and dressed for possible interviews. 

There will also be a Business Boot Camp event. This workshop will offer advice and guidance on planning for success and financing opportunities.

Do you know what collectibles may be lurking in your attic? A new business in Rockford is here to help you turn those attic finds into cash treasures.

Laurie and Bill Benson opened Footloose in the Palouse, an eBay consignment business in early March, and so far they've been greeted with great enthusiasm.

“Everyday is like Christmas, you never know what's going to walk through the door,” says Laurie adding that they'll sell anything online. The Benson's are working hard to not only sell items on eBay for their clients, but also to educate the community on what has become collectible.

The North Idaho College graphic design program has been awarded a one time investment of $6,000 as well as a grant that will fund annual scholarships.

Jobs Plus Inc. of Coeur d'Alene presented the program with the investment which will be used to purchase equipment and technology to support the needs of the program. Panhandle State Bank, Avista, Empire Airlines, Mountain West Bank and Kootenai Health all contributed to the $6,000.

In addition to that, Jobs Plus will also donate $4,000 annually to fund scholarships for up to  two students. A condition of the scholarship is that the recipients will design, support and maintain a new website for Jobs Plus. The partnership will allow Jobs Plus to attract new business to the area while showcasing the talent in NIC's graphic deign program.
