It's kind of like watching grass grow. One day, you look outside and notice that your lawn needs to be mowed. It's the same situation with Lake Coeur d'Alene. By the end of the Fall season, you should notice Lake Coeur d'Alene will have reached its winter water level.

They start their annual fall drawdown today. The lake will gradually lower about a foot by the end of the month and an additional 1 1/2 feet per month until it reaches the winter level.

Pinnacle Physcial Therapy Offers Students Help For Back Pack Strain

It's back-to-school time and Pinnacle Physical Therapy is offering local students and their parents free back pack assessments during the month of September.

A heavy  back pack can put a terrible strain on a young developing spine.  A trained therapist can help protect a young person's back by evaluating the weight of their back packs and by demonstrating ways to avoid back pain during the school year.  These evaluations can help both young and older students.

Spirit Lake wraps up the summer season

Recreation at Spirit Lake is coming to a close this season. Spirit Lake Parks & Recreation will be closing up shop at the lake with their boat rentals and other activities after Labor Day.

Ashly George, junior at Timberlake High School, has been spending her summer days working the boat rental at the Lakeside Rec Center at the shores of Spirit Lake.

"I'm done Tuesday. I'm just trying to get a little more money for gas," George said.
