The temperature isn’t quite low enough yet, but Coeur d’Alene’s warming center is still preparing to open for the season in case the temperatures drop.
Fresh Start executive director, Howard Martinson, just notified media outlets today that they’re ready.
When the overnight temperature is expected to drop to or below 20 degrees, the Fresh Start Emergency Warming Center, located at 1524 E. Sherman Ave, opens their doors for the night with a warm atmosphere for their guests. An overnight stay includes: hot coffee, food, showers, laundry, telephone and internet access and bedrolls.
This is their four winter of operation. Last winter they were open thirty nights and had about 825 overnight guests stay with them.
